Registration Form (Group)

If you have attended prior Poly Speed Dating events, please log in first before registering.

This will allow the system to give you fresh new dates, and not ones you have previously speed dated.

If you have forgotten your ID or your password, you can reset your password.

Note: This is the group registration form, meaning you want to go on dates as a member of an existing group (say, you're an existing couple that is looking for a third). If you want to go on dates as an individual, fill in the other form, and have any of your partners who are going do so as well.

Instructions: Fill out this form, and click submit. You will then be directed to Paypal where you will be asked to pay the registration fee—thanks to Inspire Publishing, whose name will appear on your PayPal statement, for allowing us to use their merchant account for this event. You can also pay the registration fee with cash at a Sydney Poly Social.

More on Group Dating: If you are a bit confused, read the group examples to see what some of the choices might mean.

Public group name

This is the name that will be on your name tags, e.g. "Ming and Johanna" or "The Rabble Triad".

Email

This email address will be given out when you successfully match with someone. It will not be made public nor shared for any other reason. The only emails you get will be for this event and, if you tick the box below, notices of future events.

Yes, we want to hear about future Poly Speed Dating (or other related poly social) events

Group Member Information

For each member in your group, fill out who they are and what they are looking for (if anything). We can currently handle groups of two people or three people; if there are two of you, leave the third form blank.

We encourage you to be both open-minded, so you get plenty of dates, and honest, so you don't end up on dates with people who are genuinely of no interest to you.

Also, gender matching is complex. We have attempted to design a system that is inclusive and that celebrates the spectrum of what is possible. Please read the help section for more about what's going on here, but basically, we need to know what you're looking for and what your dates should be looking for.

All or Any?

Are you open to people who match at least one of your members, or do you need folks that match all of your members?

We want folks that match all of us. (Leave unticked to also meet people who match only one of you.)

Mardi Gras Weekend Romance?

Are you interested only in a Mardi Gras Weekend Romance (a.k.a. a Sydney fling), a longer-term relationship, or both?

Groups

As you know, some folks will be "dating" as a group. This means you can have group-group dates! Here's how that works:

If you chose "match all of us" above, your group will match only if all of you have someone to match in the other group, though each of you might match someone different. If you left the box unticked ("match any of us"), your group matches if at least one of you has a mutual interest with at least one of the members in the other group. Of course, the other group also specified the any/all option. Putting it all together, an all-all combination means all members of each group have a mutual match with someone. Any-any, on the other hand, might mean only one member of each of the groups has a match. An all-any could have one person in the second group matching all the people in the first group. Got it? Great.

We are happy to date groups. Crazy is great!

(Remember that this is Poly Speed Dating—just because you say no to dating a group does not mean the individuals you do end up dating do not have pre-existing relationships.)

Location

As a secondary consideration, we try to match people geographically. Tick all the areas that you get to reasonably frequently or easily (e.g. where you live or work or already have a partner).

Friends

Because of how matching works, you may have slots in your schedule with no date. During these times you can either socialise in the social area or, if you like, we'll try to schedule "friendship dates" with people who mutually do not match you. Would you like to have a few of these dates?

We want some Friendship Dates.
